Second Year Students

Hinata AoiHer junior of the Light Music Club. Yuri struggles to tell him apart from his brother which makes them tease her mercilessly, but in actuality they are extremely close. During club meetings, Yuri would often bring snacks and sit with the twins on either the windowsill, a random chair, even occasionally the coffin lid, before she simply brushes their hair and fusses over them.Hinata's self sacrificial nature would be the cause of some stress to Yuri as she would struggle with trying to insist that he should value himself more, but even her best attempts were never enough, much to her horror when watching the events of the Setsubun Festival unfold.Later down the line, Yuri would come to find out that Hinata attempted to confess to Anzu, much to her amusement and would lead into a teasing subject to be used against the elder twin as "payback" for the teasing levied against her.These days, they don't see much of each other thanks to working in separate agencies quite a few floors away from each other, but Yuri does her best to check in and make sure that her little ones are doing all right.Tsukasa SuouDespite being a part of another Unit, Yuri and Tsukasa met at a sweets shop during one of his instances of stress eating. It caught Yuri off guard of how Tsukasa somewhat resembled her younger brother and would use food as a coping method, so much so that she would go over to her lower classman and strike up a conversation. Eventually the two would bond over their love of sweet things, Tsukasa feeling happy that his love for sugar was not judged and rather shared in that moment.They often text when there's a new sweet released at the random shoppes or bakeries they frequent, and while Yuri knows Tsukasa doesn't like it when others treat him like a kid, sometimes she can't help it due to how heavily she sees her little brother in his looks.Due to their close nature, Yuri tends to drop by NewDi offices with sweets for Tsukasa, and can often be found at Knights performances cheering her "little brother" on.Yuuta AoiHer junior of the Light Music Club. Yuri struggles to tell him apart from his brother which makes them tease her mercilessly, but in actuality they are extremely close. Unlike his brother, Yuuta isn't too fond of Yuri's fussing, but he reluctantly lets her do it anyways, finding an oddly calming presence in her. Yuri herself seems amused by Yuuta's more dry humor and sarcasm, often smiling fondly in response to his remarks, which both embarrasses and angers him due to her smile looking, "like a proud mother" despite the fact his actions are more bitter. Yuri also tends to notice when Yuuta is agitated, and will often sit with him and try to coax him into telling her what's on his mind, usually to no avail, but Yuuta surprisingly likes her concern.Despite "loving the twins equally" Yuri and Yuuta seem to have a closer bond than she and his older brother, which may in part be due to the events leading up to and following Setsubun Festival as Yuri was all too familiar to that feeling of helplessness, and would spend her time comforting the younger Aoi.Before Yuri's graduation, she and Yuuta have a moment alone where he confesses that, while he's not entirely sure what a mother should be like, he thinks that she makes a good one and thanks her for it.These days, they don't see much of each other thanks to working in separate agencies quite a few floors away from each other, but Yuri does her best to check in and make sure that her little ones are doing all right.

Third Year Students

Adonis OtogariShe sees a lot of her little brother in Adonis oddly enough, despite his more mature ways, she takes great delight in helping him learn more about the world around them and finds his desire to understand cute. She also simultaneously asks questions about his home in the Middle East and takes interest in his stories of his family.Yuri considers Adonis to be the glue that holds UNDEAD together as she noticed the team is a lot more unmanaged without him, but she doesn’t want to put the burden of any responsibility upon him since she knows that despite his surprising strength, he is a kind soul and wouldn’t want to stress him.Their relationship is best described as a mellow pair, who often opt to sit around in silence and enjoy their surroundings with the occasional chitchat. Work is a topic seldom brought up during their hangouts and they find it more peaceful that way.She frequently visits Yumenosaki to make sure him and Koga are doing well in their studies, and to answer any questions he might have.AnzuYuri and Anzu were both students of Kimisaki Private Academy, while Yuri didn’t have much to do with her due to her being a second year and Anzu being a first year at the time and as both were a part of separate clubs, they had minimal interactions with each other. She didn’t think much of Anzu, other than her being an underclassman who was fun to chat with and give food to, until the younger student led a rebellion against the school rules.While never taking part in the bullying Anzu endured, Yuri also never stood up for her underclassman either. After Anzu’s departure, Yuri became overwhelmed by guilt and failed her idol debut much to the disappointment of her parents, which would lead to her transferring to Yumenosaki Private Academy for her third year after remembering the producer course her brother told her about, where she would once more be reunited with Anzu.No longer wanting to ignore the second year, Yuri would do her best to look for ways to protect Anzu, only to see that TrickStar had covered those bases. These events would lead to the realization that she could not force a friendship with Anzu, and would resign to being on friendly terms with her. But Yuri has always made it clear that she will be there whenever Anzu needs and is more than willing to drop everything to help her.It’s unclear where Yuri stands on her feelings for Anzu, as Kaoru is quick to point out that she’s “fonder than normal” of her peer in the producer course. Due to her not disclosing her sexuality, it’s often the source of rumors to spread about an unrequited love.However it must be pointed out that Yuri feels guilty for Anzu’s treatment and the results of her being expelled, which might lead to her putting more effort into Anzu’s happiness in an attempt to forgive herself.While the two often speak to each other due to both (Yuri being a former student as of !!) being in the producer course, there’s a strange disconnect between them as if there’s a gap that can’t be bridged, as Anzu remains closed off and wary about Yuri, and Yuri feels too guilty to interlude further into Anzu’s life.Koga OogamiYuri’s self proclaimed “errand boy” and depending on Koga’s mood, that’s either a good term or a negative one. Since he is the member of UNDEAD with the most energy, Yuri will frequently ask him to run and grab things if no one else is available. She likens his energy to a cute puppy and loves to scratch his head like one would a dog, which Koga surprisingly seems to like, even though he acts otherwise.Yuri acts as a mother or older sister to Koga, frequently fussing over his uniform and trying to make him appear proper, despite the fact he deliberately makes himself look more “rock style”.Koga and Yuri have a rather high energy relationship since the moment they met, she often likens looking after him as her “workout” as she’s often chasing him down for various reasons, and him vice versa. No matter how snappy and loud Koga is to her, she understands that’s just the way he is and knows that he actually cares.Even after her graduation, Yuri continues to visit Yumenosaki to check on Koga and Adonis.Koga and Yuri also knew each other prior to the War era as well, as Yuri would frequently catch DEADMANZ shows and sometimes talk with Koga when she would bring her brother his lunch. On their first contact Koga threatened to bite Yuri due to her surprising him. The old cross necklace she used to wear was actually formerly a part of Koga’s uniform.Natsume SakasakiYuri met Natsume in the hallway by chance, running into him while she was searching for Anzu. Almost immediately she was surprised at his fiery tongue, but she would quickly grow to find out that it was only due to him being shocked by the encounter. After apologizing and helping him pick up his things, Yuri would help him carry his stuff back to the library.Due to Natsume's surprisingly easy to talk to personality, Yuri found herself drawn and attached to the younger boy, which was mostly a matter of his hair which was the same color as her brother's, it didn't help that he was the same age that Daiki would be at the time.Yuri and Natsume would eventually grow close enough to the point where he would refer to her as his "big sis" and Yuri would often stop by the secret room before heading home to make sure that he had everything he needed, and would occasionally bring him some snacks from time to time.Because of their relationship, Yuri attends as many Switch performances that she can, cheering on her "little brother" with all of her heart.Ritsu SakumaDue to Ritsu being Rei’s “adorable little brother”, Yuri has heard much about him but has made little contact due to Ritsu’s way of avoiding his brother. She does frequently find Koga or Tsukasa with him however and they usually make some small talk and she'll occasionally mother him much to Ritsu's delight.They’re both very amiable with each other and if they happen to pass each other by and are not in a rush, they’ll catch up, but it’s very rare that they have interactions deeper than that.

Graduates

Kaoru HakazeWhile being the closest in age, Kaoru and Yuri have a “on again/off again relationship” as she frequently gets annoyed with Kaoru’s womanizing ways. Regardless of how much he insists upon it being “fan relationship building”, she firmly believes that he needs to take things more seriously.A lot of her distaste of Kaoru stems from his treatment of Anzu, especially when hearing how during their first encounter he didn’t back off and scared the other girl. She would view every interaction he had with Anzu after that with distrust, not wanting his womanizer ways to hurt her.It was only later when Kaoru’s feelings changed from seeing Anzu as just another girl to woo turn to an actual person he liked, would Yuri’s opinion change. Yuri has admitted that in terms of men Anzu could end up with, she wouldn't mind if it happened to be Kaoru. Kaoru also happens to be one of the few who pinpointed Yuri's feelings towards Anzu, and tries to help her sort them out on occasion.Despite everything, their relationship is much more friendly these days now that they’ve both matured and learned more about the other, even bonding over some of their past, and even if they’re not always on the best of terms, it’s clear that Yuri values Kaoru and his contribution and Kaoru is grateful to Yuri for her assistance.She used to go to Kaoru’s underground club to watch DEADMANZ, but surprisingly, they never interacted.Keito HasumiYuri and Keito know each other from his DEADMANZ era, where he presumably didn’t mind answering a few of her questions. He saw her more of a way to work on growing his fan interactions strengths and neither of them wanted to pursue a deeper friendship than that.Yuri would later come to hold a grudge against Keito, hurt by his indifference when her brother had gone missing. Despite the two working in the same agency, it's very rare to even see Yuri in his presence.Rei SakumaAs the leader of UNDEAD, Rei is the one who Yuri consults with the most and even changed her sleep schedule to be up at times where Sakuma is most active. She could also be considered as his producer seeing as when UNDEAD temporarily split, while she did remain in contact with the others, Rei was the one she kept direct contact with.It’s presumed it’s because Rei is more high maintenance than the other members that Yuri doubles as an assistant. She’s often lending him a shoulder after a long day in the sun, offering him water and shade as he recovers from various events. It’s said that she always has a glass of tomato juice on hand and will appear by Rei’s side the minute he mentions it.Despite enjoying a behind the scenes role, it’s not uncommon for Rei to rope her into in front of the camera gigs, such as modeling photo shoots with him or being used for the rare occasion they need an actress for their music videos. Yuri has a sneaking suspicion he does so so she can somewhat live out her lost dream, but he neither confirms nor denies the accusation and it’s possible he just likes to work with her.They have a very easy going friendship, Yuri unbothered by Rei’s neediness and teasing, while Rei is content to be submitted to Yuri’s fussing. They both look out for each other and have a good sense of teamwork, Yuri assisting Rei throughout the day and him watching over her during the night.Yuri, Rei and Koga actually go back to War Era, as Yuri would be a second hand witness of some of the events due to taking her younger brother his lunch occasionally. One fateful day, she was searching for her little brother at the Underground Live House and happened to be around to see DEADMANZ performing. After an incident with one of the costumes, she was able to meet up and speak with the three members after.Around that time, Yuri would start wearing a cross necklace, it’s unclear if she wore it to be more like DEADMANZ or if it was a gift from one of the members. All that was known is that it linked to them somehow.Watching them would eventually spark the passion in her to take a shot at becoming an idol.

Airi Tanaka
A fellow producer of UNDEAD, Yuri trusts and respects her decision making. With her penchant for paperwork, Yuri is especially grateful, especially when the Rhythlin Execs become extra demanding. Yuri thinks of Airi as a solid support and takes comfort in her smile, especially when she becomes frazzled with stress.Amahime SuzukiChiharu Suzuki
A fellow producer of WAV3 for Rhythm Link, Yuri often runs into Chiharu at the office and thinks of him as a cute little junior. She can't help but notice a little thing going on between him and his coworker, Ryuu Nakagawa, which is often a source for her to tease the younger boy about, much to his annoyance.Himari
A childhood friend of Yuri's who she shared a love of DEADMANZ with. Although the years would have them lose contact, they've recently rekindled their friendship as of the Repayment Festival.Yuri and Himari met while in line for the Underground Live before a DEADMANZ performance, Yuri helping Himari up once she got knocked into her and then providing her warmth as she noticed how cold she was. The two would end up bonding over their love for the band and Yuri would find entertainment in teasing Himari about a certain band member.The two would lose contact after Yuri fell into a depressive state, and they wouldn't meet again until the Repayment Festival when Rei revived DEADMANZ.As of late, they've been working on rebuilding their lost friendship, slowly but surely going back to normal, even if somethings won't be the same.Hoshiko
The producer from New Dimensions who would probably like to see Yuri a little bit less than she does, as Yuri's frequent trips to NewDi's floor to see Natsume, her unit's leader, and Tsukasa end up in her crossing paths with the young woman multiple times a day. Yuri has found amusement in teasing her "HoshiHoshi" that she'll steal her idols away for RhythmLink and then she'll have to join them, much to Hoshiko's distress.Despite Yuri's relentless teasing, the reason behind her little taunts can be boiled down to she finds Hoshiko's reactions cute and enjoys getting a rise out of her. She doesn't mean anything malicious of it and would never fully carry through with her "threats."Even with all of their squabbling, they're good friends who often tease each other, be it about their love lives or their ways of producing. It helps that Airi Tanaka is around to keep them in check, as well.Kyo Nanase
An idol from New Dimension which Yuri frequently comes in contact with, thanks to her many visits. She finds his love for food cute and will often bring him some sweets to share that she picks up from Cafe Cinnamon or other local bakeries. She's also attempted to use said sweets to tempt him over to RhythmLink, making promises of having all the sweets he could want, and more....despite RhythLin not faring much better than NewDi in terms of profits.Minato Ichinose
An idol under RhythmLink and part of the unit WAV3, Yuri often sees him hanging around his other unitmates and will often stop by in the breakroom to sit with them and bring treats after a hard day's work. She caught sight of his brother once and thought he was "extremely good looking" but she wouldn't dare say that to Minato.Nanami "Nana" Suzuki
Yuri has only seen Chiharu's older sister once, but is a fan of her music and will often put it on to unwind. She wants to ask Chiharu if she can get an autograph from her, but thinks that might be a weird request.Niko Nakamoto
A cute little solo idol that Yuri cares a lot for, and worries for as well. As stories and first hand experiences of witnessing him being able to start fires in every kitchen often send her heart racing. But, she can't fault him for it and is happy to bake or cook him whatever her heart desires when she has time. One of her favorite past times is to play with his fluffy hair, as she thinks it's the cutest thing ever.Nina Asaka
An idol under RhythmLink and part of the unit WAV3, Yuri enjoys Nina's presence as one of the few girls at RhythmLink and finds it super cool that she's an idol. Her excited attitude and spunky nature lightens Yuri's mood, although she does get a little bit frightened by her strange abilities to hide anywhere. Despite being close in age, Yuri teasingly acts as if Nina is her little sister, and will make remarks such as "Ah! I see the fruit of the tree truly does fall to the root!~ Even if the fall is a little extreme." when it comes to her desire to look out for her juniors.Rio Hazuki
An idol from New Dimensions which Yuri frequently comes in contact with, thanks to her many visits. She thinks his love for spicy ramen is adorable and when giving his unitmate sweets, she'll often bring him some packaged ramen as well. Yuri finds his cool and collected nature to be a silly contrast, but very cute! She's a big fan of his hairstyle as well, but she doesn't know how to say it.Ryū Nakagawa
An idol under RhythmLink and part of the unit WAV3, Yuri takes amusement in watching Ryuu's interactions with his unit, as he and Nina often butt heads. She thinks his mischievous and instigative ways are amusing, and secretly roots for him and Chiharu on the sidelines as she can sense some "interesting interesting tension" between them.Shiori Koucho
A producer from Starmaker Productions, Yuri doesn't often run into Shiori due to their differences in office areas, also the fact that Yuri isn't close to anyone involved in Starmaker. However, the few times she's seen her, Yuri has felt rather intimidated to be near someone like Shiori and would confess that she "was like standing next to the sun and I was blinded by her beauty."Soma Kato

Daiki ShiroganeYuri’s younger brother who used to attend Yumenosaki Academy, a forgetful person as he would often forget his lunches which would lead to Yuri usually forgoing eating her lunch in favor of giving him hers.The two of them were as close as siblings could be, Daiki would often vent his frustrations to Yuri and she would sit and listen, doing her best to ease his burdens as much as possible. Often how their conversations would go would be Daiki talking or asking questions and Yuri listening and occasionally offering advice or encouragement, and they were perfectly fine with that setup.When they were younger, they would often be found playing alongside the river near a large bridge which provided shelter from the sun and rain when the elements became too much.Their parents were both poor, but thought a quick way to succeed would be enrolling them in the closest academies which were known for producing top graduates, namely idols in Daiki’s case. While less expectations were placed on Yuri, she would eventually grow a strong desire to become an idol, thanks to events following her having to search for her brother. Daiki on the other hand, hated the dream his parents put upon him but the pressure put upon him by his parents kept him trapped.When Yuri expressed a desire to become an idol and showed promise, their parents quickly pushed all their attention and expectations on her, sidelining Daiki and the pressure from their parents would cause Yuri to no longer be as present for him as she once was which caused Daiki to slip further into those isolating feelings of depression, feeling abandoned by his family on top of struggling with the current crackdown the new Student Council was initiating.One day, Yuri ran into Yumenosaki Academy with the intent of bringing her brother her lunch since she knew he probably forgot his, only to be unable to find him anywhere. After asking the teachers and the Student Council, it was revealed he didn’t show up to school that day. Yuri would go to the police and later on, his body would be found at their old play spot and he would be pronounced dead, which would break Yuri’s heart and further increase the slow decline in her passion to become an idol.Hiiro AmagiA distant cousin to Yuri on her mother's side. Yuri knows very little of the Amagis and is barely aware that she's related to them, other than their similar looks.Kyoshiro GushikenA child of her dad’s boss, who has offered money to Yuri’s parents for her hand in marriage. If she doesn’t have a steady career and income by the time she’s 20, she’s been told that they will accept his offer.While Kyoshiro and Yuri certainly aren’t friends, they have known of each other since they were young teens. Kyoshiro had seen Yuri bringing her dad a lunch as he had left it behind for once in his life, and was immediately smitten. He would later ask his dad to arrange a dinner with her dad to find out more about her, and from there the seeds were sown and haunted Yuri all the way into adulthood.Rinne AmagiA distant cousin to Yuri on her mother's side. Yuri knows very little of the Amagis and is barely aware that she's related to them, other than their similar looks. Yuri has a little bit more experience with Rinne than she does Hiiro, and holds somewhat of a small grudge over their treatment of Koga and humiliation of UNDEAD.

Future Family

朔間 新月 Shingetsu Gushiken (Sakuma)Yuri's glimmer of hope during her five year marriage, and her last ties to the life she knew before. Shingetsu was the product of her illicit love affair and her son that she passed off as Kyoshiro's. Her precious child, she would teach him all about idols, and her work previously. It wasn't uncommon to see her showing old performances of her unit to him on the TV, and recounting some of her stories before bed.Shingetsu and his mother were as close as could be, especially considering the rather hostile climate he was raised in, as Kyoshiro showed little interest in being a good father, and an even littler interest in raising him. Which Yuri had no issue with as the less influence Shingetsu received from "That Man" the better. Her only gripe was that Kyoshiro insisted she let a nanny do all the work, and she should be less involved.It was when Kyoshiro raised a hand against Shingetsu that led to her making the ultimate decision of slipping toxins into Kyoshiro's drink, fatally poisoning him until his demise which would lead to a happier life for both Yuri and Shingetsu.When Yuri returned to her producer duties at RhythmLink, Shingetsu came to work alongside her, helping run messages and getting her things so she could teach him a good work ethic, and give him something to do. Despite her attempts not to pamper him, he quickly became the favorite around the office and his many "uncles" would spoil him in their own way. His blood father was no better, as instead of rushing into a relationship and revealing the truth to Shingetsu, Yuri and Rei made the decision to take things slowly, not only just in their relationship, and let Shingetsu get to know him first before assuming a fatherly role.
Once some time had passed and Shingetsu already saw Rei as a father more than Kyoshiro ever was, Yuri would break the news to him, as well as the announcement of their marriage to her son, and he would be more than exalted to find out.Later on in the future when it came time for Shingetsu to decide where he wanted to go to school at, he was torn between the desire of wanting to be an idol, and the fear of following in his father's shadow. He figured that expectations were on him to become an idol, like Rei was, but Yuri sensed her son's nervousness and sat down with him, saying that they would support whatever path he chose to take, and how "no-one can be super star Sakuma Rei-chan, but he can be Shingetsu and that would be enough."Shingetsu would decide to attend Yumenosaki like his father, uncles and mother, and ended up starting his own unit, showcasing his well rounded vocals much to the pride of Rei, Yuri and his two younger siblings.The kanji for his name, 新月 , translate into “new moon” which is a reference to how Rei’s name, when put together, can be taken as “night of 0 moon”
Not only is this supposed to be a nod to his real father, it's also symbolic of how he becomes Yuri's new reason for living through the situation she did.朔間 泰輝 Daiki SakumaDaiki's kanji translate into "radiant calm/peace" and is named to signify the peace the family finally can enjoy. His name also has double meaning as he's named after Yuri's deceased brother, 白銀 大喜 Shirogane Daiki, albeit with a different kanji combination.朔間 弥恋 Miko Sakuma
Miko's name means "increasing love/romance" and unlike her brothers where their names have dual meaning, hers is more straight forward. Rei was the one who came up with her name and she remains the only one to be named by her father, as Yuri came up with the names for both of the boys.

Future Life

When Yuri reaches her 21st birthday, she’s well aware time is up, for the deadline her parents have placed upon her. Despite UNDEAD’s overwhelming success, her parents do not see it that way, so she’s called back to fufil the promise that was made between her family and the Gushikens, effectively leaving UNDEAD and RhythmLink. Yuri's parents would contact her to inform her that her "grace period" was up and she was expected to become Kyoshiro's wife within the following year, with a date set for July 12th. Giving her time, not only to get her resignation with RhythmLink in effect, but also to plan for the wedding. Following her resignation, the Shiroganes and the Gushikens both demanded she cut any contact with her previous life of idols and focus solely on the upcoming future of being the wife to one of the most successful empires.
Despite her pleas for more time, Yuri would eventually come to terms with the fact there was no fighting her fate and begin to get things in order at RhythmLink, bidding a heartbroken goodbye to her precious unit and spending the last few days that she could with them, be it one on one, or individually.Yuri becomes desperate to claim some agency in her rapidly spiraling life, and struggles to find a way to gain control. Eventually, at one of the family talks before the wedding, the realization hits Yuri as the topic of kids comes up, and Kyoshiro says he only wants one to carry on the family business.During one night, Yuri and Rei found themselves on a walk through Sky Gardens where Yuri would end up falling for the curse that affects everyone, giving their problems to Rei Sakuma. She confessed that she felt like she had no agency over her life and that she needed to do something to gain control again or she would spiral. Rei would listen and ask her what she wanted most of all. Yuri herself didn't even know what she truly wanted, other than to love and be loved. "I want to be a mother." was what Yuri finally said, an unsurprising answer for Rei as she's always been the motherly type.
However, Yuri was reluctant to have a baby with her husband to be as she hated him with every drop of blood in her body, which would lead her to make one last request of Rei, to save her once more from the darkness and give her a child, as she'd rather have one by someone she held in her heart than one who sought to break it. Yuri would explain her plan and situation to Rei, as well as elaborate that he’s the only one she trusts enough to take such a step with. with Yuri trying to convince herself that it was purely Rei trying to fulfill her final wish and not to let her mind trick her into thinking it was anything more than that. Much to her surprise, Rei would agree and the two would begin rendezvousing at night whenever possible, even when Yuri's ban from seeing those she loved was in effect.Things would go as purely a platonic affair between UNDEAD's Leader and former Producer, that is until Yuri had a fitting day where she was to try on her wedding dress, only to run from the store out of fear once she saw herself and realized her impending demise. While fleeing, she would bump into Rei who quickly took her out of view of anyone who may be searching for her, using his connections with a local flower shop owner to allow them to hide in the back until Yuri had calmed. Fueled by her own haywire emotions, Yuri finally voices the feelings she had locked away since for years, from the moment he "saved" her, for the first time to Rei. Rei himself would not answer her, and instead focused on comforting Yuri more than anything.Yuri and Rei's love affair would end a week before her marriage when Yuri found out she was expecting, they would meet for one more time to say their farewells, Yuri making a promise that they would be by each other's side again, and she intended to keep this one unlike the first promise she ever made him. Rei would finally answer Yuri's confession in his own way by winding a strand of Yuri's red hair around his finger and swearing to wait with an amused expression. Afterwards, Rei would end up taking "one last nap with his dear producer" slumped against her shoulder like old times. Although Yuri would find that it was an attempt to hide the tears in his eyes, even though her "Silly Sakuma was always a crybaby."The year following the wedding, on April 10th Yuri would give birth to a son she would name Shingetsu 新月 which meant "New Moon" which could either be a name given to mean he had given her a new meaning to life, or a play on Rei's name which was often translated to "night of zero moon."Her relationship with Kyoshiro was never good, and it was noted by the press that Yuri always had a icy expression on her face when they would appear in public together. But Kyoshiro didn't seem to mind as Yuri had given him a son who could be heir to his empire, that and she was mostly just arm candy for him, and once he finally had her, he would quickly grow bored and spend most of his nights with escorts or mistresses, despite his strict laws for Yuri to be loyal to him alone.
In those days, Yuri's only source of happiness was her little son which she would often fuss over and sing the songs of her old unit to him when Kyoshiro wasn't around. She'd also show him old performances, not just of UNDEAD, but Trickstar and DEADMANZ, as well as 2Wink, Knights and Switch. As Shingetsu got older, she would begin to tell him stories and notable things about the people performing as they would watch, especially of Anzu, Koga, Natsume, Tsukasa and the Aoi's. She would keep from telling him anything about Rei however, and was careful to style his hair in such a way that made sure he wouldn't look so much like his father, as the Sakuma genes were strong and she feared someone finding out.Yuri would live her life as Kyoshiro's quiet wife until Shingetsu would turn five and would excitedly tell the man he thought was his father that he wanted to be an idol one day. In a fit of rage, Kyoshiro would lash out at Shingetsu and strike him across the face, claiming that no son of his would participate in that outrageous occupation. Yuri quickly ran to gather Shingetsu in her arms and question what was wrong with Kyoshiro that he would strike a child, only for him to turn his anger on her and blame her for filling Shingetsu's head with dreams.While Yuri was fine with whatever happened to her, she was struck by the realization that it was no longer safe for Shingetsu to be around Kyoshiro, so she swiftly devised a plan and would acquire some gu蛊 and ricin, altering which small dose she would drop in Kyoshiro's drinks he would have her serve him. The doses would be small enough to deal damage, but end up undetectable. It would take longer than just dealing a killing dose, but Yuri wanted to make sure it looked like a slow decline of health and that it wouldn't be traced back to her. Eventually, Kyoshiro dropped to the floor of their suite and Yuri was quick to call 911 after "attempting" to revive him, putting on a panicky voice that would fool anyone.
